Album Design Instructions

Your Album Design Experience

Thoughtfully Designed. Effortlessly You.

Your wedding album isn’t a collection of photos that sits on a shelf. It’s the first chapter of your legacy. It’s the book you’ll open on quiet evenings, flip through with your future kids, and treasure for decades to come. I’ve crafted this process to feel easy, collaborative, and fully aligned with your story.

Here’s what to expect:

1. Start the Process

When you’re ready, I’ll send over a simple form to collect your album preferences, things like your favorite cover options, layout style, and any must-have images. Once that’s in, I’ll get started on your design.

2. Choose Your Favorites

You’ll receive a link to your online gallery. From there, you can favorite the images you’d love to see in your album. I’ll use those selections (along with a few of my own picks that tell your story well) to create your first draft.

3. Review Your Initial Design

Once your first layout is ready, you’ll receive a digital proof to review at your own pace. This first version reflects my artistic take on your day. You’ll be able to comment on specific pages or images directly, or we can hop on a quick video call if that’s easier.

4. Revisions Made Simple

You’ll have two rounds of revisions:

  • Round 1: Swap photos, adjust layouts, or make any big-picture changes.

  • Round 2: Final refinements, cover selection, and polishing the details.

Need more rounds? No problem, we can always continue for a small design fee if needed.

5. Approve & Print

Once everything looks perfect, your album goes to professional retouching and then to print. Before long, your story will be in your hands, ready to be relived, remembered, and passed on.

My Cover Recommendations

The Cameo Cover

Clean. Timeless. Personal.

This is the one I reach for the most. A centered square photo is built right into the cover, creating a clean, elegant first impression. It’s simple and refined—but more than that, it tells your story the moment someone picks it up. There’s a reason this is the most popular option I offer—it just works.

Debossed Covers

Subtle. Refined. Elegant.

For couples who love simplicity with a touch of sophistication, a debossed cover is a beautiful choice. You can add up to two lines of custom text, pressed directly into the cover for a clean, timeless look. Choose classic blind debossing (no color) for something subtle, or metallic foils in gold, silver, or rose gold for a little shine.

Album Design Philosophy

Every album is created with care and purpose. My goal is to blend artistic vision with your ideas so that together we create a piece that feels personal and lasting—a true heirloom that reflects your wedding day from start to finish.

My Album Style

Every album I design is meant to feel like stepping back into your wedding day. I follow the natural flow of events. That way each spread reads like a story unfolding in real time. The color I use plays a central role, with rich, true-to-life tones that bring out the mood of every scene, while carefully chosen black-and-white images add a timeless, classic feel. The result is an elegant heirloom filled with nostalgia, preserving the depth and beauty of your day for generations to come.

Things I Avoid

A timeless album is as much about what you leave out as what you include. To keep every spread elegant and focused, I stay away from:

  • Mixing Editing Styles
Each spread keeps a single style, color or black and white. Pairing vintage fades with vibrant color or different edits side by side distracts from the story.

  • Inconsistent Color Palettes
I select images that share the same light and tones, so an outdoor scene full of greens stays natural and cohesive.

  • Combining Unrelated Moments
Each spread tells one part of your story. Ceremony pages feature only ceremony images, bridal prep stays with bridal prep, and so on.

  • Image Overlays
Transparent layers and overlays can date a design and add clutter, so I keep pages crisp and modern.
  • Decorative Graphics or Colored Backgrounds
No floral embellishments, busy borders, or off-theme backgrounds, just classic black or white that lets your photographs stand out.
